Monday 31st October sees the opening of the 2nd Royal Automobile Club Art of Motoring Exhibition. Historic Car Art is proud to be playing a major role in the Art of Motoring Exhibition which will showcase artwork from leading British motoring and motor racing artists and form part of London Motor Week. Artists showing work include John Ketchell, Peter Hearsey, Roy Putt, Gary Smith, Jonathan Carter, Tim Layzell, Andrew Hill, Jeremy Houghton, Geoff Bolam, Dexter Brown, Richard Wade, Richard Wheatland, Robin Bark, Neil Collins and Martin Tomlinson. All of the artwork on view at the Art of Motoring Exhibition will be available to purchase, and (if not sold) many pieces available following the exhibition at historiccarart.net where you will also find limited edition prints too. Art of Motoring Exhibition This year is the 40th anniversary of James Hunt’s 1976 Formula 1 World Championship victory. To commemorate this anniversary, award-winning artist Jeremy Houghton was commissioned by the James Hunt Foundation to produce an official collection of paintings depicting each of the races that Hunt won that year. These paintings will form a special feature to the iconic racing driver. The range of painting styles, mediums, materials and prices vary greatly between the artists. The inclusion this year of two sculptors means there should be something to suit all tastes, environments and budgets.
