Since 1994, Jonny Ambrose has created elegant, contemporary automobile sculptures. His works celebrate automotive artistry with graceful abstraction, inspired by aerodynamic forms and imagined airflow.

His sculpture trophies have been created for The Quail US concours since 2017 as the Octane award and has exhibited across Europe, the Historic Motoring Awards, Goodwood, and invited annually to the Royal Automobile Club exhibitions.

Ambrose's artworks combine traditional steam-bent wood craftsmanship with digital design processes, involving wood, CNC milled metal and Carbon Fibre.

His works are coveted by international collectors from the Americas to Africa, Japan and Australia. His studio, gallery and wood workshop are nestled in the Warwickshire countryside, central UK.

Born 1972, he graduated in Fine Art Sculpture 1994, was 1995 BRDC Young Artist Prize runner up, and has since exhibited in Paris, California, London, Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Glasgow.

Following a Masters MA Degree,1998, he co-founded a successful computer games development studio in 2002, creating acclaimed games such as Guitar Hero and DJ Hero, before returning to the world of art, full time again in 2015.
