Simon Owen remains one of the most distinctive names in modern motorsport art. Combining meticulous research with a bold digital style, his artwork celebrates the colour, design and engineering of legendary racing cars through beautifully detailed compositions. His work continues to be highly regarded by collectors for its originality, technical precision and unmistakable visual style.
This collection features limited edition prints from Simon Owen's celebrated Racing Colours series, available exclusively through Historic Car Art. Produced as high-quality giclée fine art prints, the collection showcases some of the most famous racing cars ever built, from Le Mans winners and Formula One legends to endurance racers and iconic GT cars. Every image demonstrates Owen's remarkable attention to detail and his passion for accurately recreating the colours, textures and identity of each historic competition car.
Originally a musician, lyricist and songwriter, Simon Owen developed his artistic career through traditional watercolour painting before embracing digital techniques that allowed him to achieve extraordinary levels of detail. His painstaking creative process involved extensive historical research and countless hours refining every illustration to ensure complete authenticity. The resulting body of work captures the essence of motorsport's greatest machines while presenting them in a clean, contemporary style that appeals to both racing enthusiasts and fine art collectors.
