Roy PUTT
Roy Putt studied drawing and graphic design at Bournemouth College of Art and worked for a time in an advertising agency and then as a freelance until the rock band, in which he played bass guitar, secured a recording contract and he switched to being a professional musician.
After years of touring Putt decided to concentrate on building a career in motoring art and he is now a regular exhibitor at prestigious events across Europe. His work has featured in both Octane and Classic and Sports Car magazines, and he has been selected as the official artist for Salon Privé in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Putt's paintings celebrate a bygone era of grace, sophistication and elegance, each with it's own narrative and easily identifiable style.
"I've always admired the work of J.C. Leyendecker the most celebrated American Illustrator of the early 20th Century, and his work of the 1930's influences mine today" says Putt.
With a portfolio of private and corporate clients Putts paintings hang in collections Worldwide, and are on permanent display at the Historic Car Art Gallery in the UK. Enquiries from new clients are always welcomed and Putt relishes the challenge of interpreting fresh briefs into celebrated pieces of artwork.
