Craig WARWICK

The late Craig Warwick (b.1948 d.2015) was considered by many to be the finest portrait painter among automotive artists.
Born in Lancashire, England, he studied fine art and graphic design at the Royal Academy, West of England College of Art in Bristol.
Craig’s paintings were created with mixed media, using watercolor and gouache for example on skin tones, and air brush for the hard, reflective surfaces of racing cars.
Warwick was unanimously voted for membership by the prestigious Automotive Fine Arts Society, and in 2002 won the Amelia Island’s Concours d’Elegance Award with the AFAS Exhibition in Florida, USA; presented by Mazda.
Craig’s artworks were regular features of annual exhibitions organized by Planners International Events – notably Monte Carlo during the Monaco Grand Prix, and London in November. With his professional eye for detail, Craig was a regular judge of the International Motoring Art Competition organized by PIA.
In recent years both Ferrari and Maserati in the United Kingdom had commissioned Warwick to produce special artwork to commemorate landmark anniversaries.
