REVS ART | Adam GOMPERTZ

Historic Car Art is delighted to present the REVS ART collection by Adam Gompertz, bringing together a distinctive portfolio of limited edition prints and original automotive artwork inspired by some of the world's most celebrated historic cars. From Grand Prix legends and Le Mans winners to iconic road cars and overlooked engineering masterpieces, every piece reflects Adam's unique ability to combine technical precision with expressive artistic interpretation.

Before becoming a full-time artist, Adam Gompertz enjoyed a professional career as an automotive designer, working with MG Rover, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Design Storz and Dubois Yachts. That design background remains evident throughout his work, where carefully observed proportions, engineering details and period styling are combined with loose handwritten annotations, subtle pastel tones and traditional pen illustration techniques. The result is artwork that feels equally at home in a designer's sketchbook and a collector's gallery.

The REVS ART collection celebrates an exceptionally broad range of automotive history. Collectors will discover subjects including the Ferrari 250 GTO, Jaguar D-Type, Aston Martin DB3S, Auto Union Type A V16, Lancia Stratos, Porsche 911 RS, Ford GT40, Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic and many other landmark competition and road cars spanning more than a century of motoring development. Each artwork tells the story of the car as much as its appearance, making these pieces especially appealing to enthusiasts who appreciate both engineering and design.

Adam's artistic process is equally distinctive. Working primarily with Bic pen, fixed pastel and carefully controlled colour, he creates illustrations inspired by the presentation renderings once produced in the great automotive design studios of the 1950s and 1960s. The handwritten notes incorporated into many compositions reinforce this connection, giving each artwork the character of an authentic designer's working drawing while remaining highly finished as a collectible piece.

Alongside his artistic career, Adam founded REVS as a way of connecting the classic car community through shared enthusiasm for motoring. This wider project has grown into an award-winning community, making REVS ART an extension of that same passion for historic vehicles and the people who preserve and enjoy them.

Whether you are looking for a limited edition print celebrating a favourite competition car or an original artwork for your collection, the REVS ART collection offers thoughtfully researched, beautifully executed pieces that reward close inspection and capture the enduring appeal of the motor car.

Every artwork in this collection is produced from Adam Gompertz's original illustrations and reflects his lifelong fascination with automotive design. Rather than simply portraying a vehicle, each composition explores the proportions, engineering and visual character that made the original car significant. This approach creates artwork with lasting appeal for collectors of motorsport history, classic cars and automotive design.

Many pieces focus on landmark moments in competition history, including Le Mans, Grand Prix racing, endurance events and international rallying, while others celebrate exceptional road-going classics that have become design icons in their own right. The collection therefore appeals equally to collectors interested in motorsport heritage and those who appreciate beautifully engineered road cars.

Collectors interested in related subjects may also enjoy exploring the Limited Edition Prints, Original Artwork, Le Mans Collection, Ferrari Collection, Jaguar Collection, Porsche Collection and Aston Martin Collection, where further historic automotive subjects are available from Historic Car Art.
